Kidenza: A Recipe for a Musical Feast
– A Concert for Families

Saturday 28 April 2018

Kidenza

A Recipe for a Musical Feast. The Kidenza ensemble – a full 14-piece orchestra of professional London players.

Mayfield School has a strong musical tradition and a long association with the Mayfield Festival. We are delighted to welcome Kidenza to this year’s festival and support them in inspiring a love of music in children.

Kidenza provides inspiring opportunities for young children to get involved in classical music. We want children to love music so that it becomes part of their life for their whole life.

Our concerts are relaxed and informal with plenty of chances to join in. They are performed by professional musicians and supported by unique animations to bring the music to life.

At our family concerts parents, grandparents and friends can enjoy the music with the children. Kids under two are free though they may have to sit on laps.

Participative Workshop for childen (6+), 2pm

A unique opportunity to learn from, perform with and experiment in music with our professional musicians – no experience necessary!

Limited places are available to take part in this new and exciting interactive workshop where the children will be able to work together under the guidance of our experts. This encourages participants to listen, be free to experiment and to have fun whilst creating their own distinctive composition as part of a group.

A pinch of percussion or a splash of strings?
