For as little as £ 20 per year you could enjoy benefits that include:

Priority booking.  Members qualify for priority booking on tickets for most musical events, including all the concerts at the Mayfield Festival.

Guarantee of seats at all festival concerts. Members are guaranteed seats at all festival concerts, except the choral concerts where priority is given to members without guarantee. Patrons are additionally guaranteed seats at choral concerts.

Discounts on tickets. Discounts are offered to all members on all tickets for the Mayfield Festival and other FMM supported musical events in and around Mayfield.

The exclusive opportunity to buy season tickets for Mayfield Festival. The society offers exclusively to members and patrons season tickets for the Mayfield Festival. These are available at greatly reduced prices and guarantee seats at all the festival concerts.

Regular mailings. Music Bulletins of all events are mailed to members on a regular basis.

FMM Subscriptions are:

  • Member: £ 20 p.a
  • Family Member: £ 30 pa
  • Patron: £ 60 pa
  • Family Patron: £ 100 pa

Members and Patrons are entitled to apply for two tickets per concert. Family Members and Family Patrons are entitle to apply for four tickets per concert. Patrons will also have their names published in the concert programme and may be entitled to additional benefits.

Friends of Music in Mayfield provides funds for the encouragement and continuance of music in Mayfield in the following ways:
  • To create funds for worthwhile musical projects which would not otherwise be self-supporting financially.
  • To provide funds for the performance of musical works outside the scope of normal financial resources.
  • To provide funds for the commission of new works for first performance in Mayfield.
  • To consider schemes for the provision of music scholarship for vocal and instrumental tuition for exceptionally talented children in the area whose parents could not otherwise afford the fees.
  • To provide funds for new instruments in specially deserving cases.
  • To donate funds to musical charities and in particular those for the benefit of children.
Friends of Music in Mayfield has given financial support to the following:
  • The Council for Music in Hospitals
  • Educational workshops for children in local schools
  • Mayfield Festival of Music and the Arts
  • Music festivals in East Sussex
  • St. Dunstan’s Parish Church Organ Appeal
  • Provision of musical instruments at local schools
  • Mayfield Parish Church Tower and Bells Appeal
  • Provision of bursaries for instrumental tuition at local schools
  • Jessie’s Fund dedicated to helping, through music, children who have special needs as a result of illness or disability
  • Composition and world premier of Francis Grier’s Mass in Time of Persecution
  • Provision of lighting for use by local music and arts bodies
  • The concert series in celebration of the new pipe organ at St. Dunstan’s Parish Church
