A STEP OUT OF TIME
with
Sir Timothy Ackroyd
Sir Timothy Ackroyd, 3rd Baronet Dewsbury, reminisces on his eccentric childhood meetings with Winston Churchill, Montgomery of Alamein, Princess Alice and The Queen. Ackroyd also delivers many witty reflections and amusing sketches of his encounters with Peter O’ Toole, Omar Sharif, John Gielgud and his honourary Grandmother, Joyce Carey. This internationally acclaimed one-man show runs far deeper than an amusing evening of clever impersonations however – through quiet reflections and story telling, Ackroyd invites his audience to contemplate some of life’s more complex questions concerning our cultures and social structures today.
…a profoundly touching and thought-provoking piece of theatre
